GARMENT CARE GUIDE
At Savant Classique, every piece is thoughtfully crafted using carefully selected materials. To preserve the structure, beauty, and longevity of your garments, please refer to our specialized care recommendations below.
1. General Washing & Ironing Principles
-
Hand Wash Recommended: Gentle hand washing is ideal for all garments to preserve fiber integrity, softness, and intricate construction over time.
-
Color-Block & Contrast Items: For designs combining white and contrasting shades:
-
Do not soak different colored fabrics together.
-
Avoid harsh detergents or bleaching agents.
-
Carefully separate white and colored sections during washing to prevent dye transfer.
-
-
Professional Dry Cleaning: Highly recommended for garments with complex tailoring, structured layering, or delicate contrasting fabrics.
-
Ironing Technique:
-
Steaming is always preferred.
-
If flat-ironing, use a low heat setting and place a thin pressing cloth over the fabric to protect its natural sheen.

2. Fabric-Specific Care Guide

| Fabric | Washing | Drying | Ironing & Steaming |
| Cotton | Wash in cool or warm water (<40°C/104°F). Separate lights and darks. | Air dry in a shaded area. Avoid high-heat machine drying to prevent shrinkage. | Iron on Medium-High heat while the fabric is slightly damp. |
| Linen / Ramie | Hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle. Do not wring or twist. | Dry naturally on a padded hanger or lay flat in the shade. | Steam or iron on Medium-High heat while slightly damp to smooth natural creases. |
| Tencel / Modal | Wash gently in cold water using a mild, gentle detergent. | Do not wring. Line dry in the shade; avoid tumble drying to preserve silken texture. | Iron on Low-Medium heat on the reverse side, or use a garment steamer. |
| Silk & Satin | Dry clean, or hand wash gently in cold water with delicate soap. | Press out excess water with a towel; lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight. | Iron on the lowest setting (Silk mode) on the reverse side with a pressing cloth. |
| Poly / Knit | Machine washable on a standard cycle with cool or warm water. | Dries quickly in a well-ventilated area. Tumble dry low if necessary. | Iron on Low heat only (high heat can warp or damage synthetic fibers). |
